This short film, directed by D.W. Griffith and starring Mary Pickford, was published in the United States on April 4, 1910. Under the Copyright Act of 1909 and every subsequent revision including the Copyright Term Extension Act of 1998, all works published before January 1, 1928, have seen their statutory copyright terms expire. As a film from 1910, its maximum possible protection (95 years from publication) would have expired no later than the end of 2005. Consequently, the work has definitively entered the public domain in the United States due to the expiration of its copyright term.
