Under the current laws of the United States, all works published or registered before January 1, 1929, have entered the public domain. This film, a Harold Lloyd comedy produced by the Rolin Film Company and released through Pathé Exchange, was released on April 13, 1919. Because the film was published more than 95 years ago (specifically in 1919), its copyright protection has expired regardless of whether it was ever renewed. Works from 1919 entered the public domain in the U.S. no later than 1995 (under the previous 75-year term) or were already in the public domain if they failed to meet renewal requirements under the 1909 Act. It is now free for use within the United States.
