Derby Day

Derby Day is a silent short film produced by Hal Roach and released by Pathé Exchange as part of the Our Gang (Little Rascals) series. It was originally released on November 18, 1923. According to the United States copyright law, all works published or registered in the U.S. prior to January 1, 1928, have entered the public domain regardless of whether they were originally registered or renewed. Since this film was published in 1923, its maximum statutory copyright term of 95 years expired no later than the end of 2018. Under the provisions of the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act, works from 1923 entered the public domain on January 1, 2019. There is no possibility of active copyright protection for this title in the United States today.
