The European Rest Cure

The film 'The European Rest Cure' was released in September 1904 by the Edison Manufacturing Company and directed by Edwin S. Porter. Under U.S. copyright law, all works published before January 1, 1928, have entered the public domain regardless of their original registration status or later renewals. As a pre-1928 production, the statutory term of copyright protection (which was a maximum of 75 or 95 years depending on the legislation at the time of renewal) has expired. The film is now free for use and is held in various archives, including the Library of Congress (Paper Print Collection).
