The film 'The Italian' (directed by Reginald Barker and produced by Thomas H. Ince) was originally released in the United States in January 1915. Under current U.S. copyright law, the maximum possible term of protection for works published with notice before 1978 was 95 years from the date of publication. As a work published prior to January 1, 1928, the film has reached the end of its statutory copyright term.
